NEW YORK – Lipscomb women’s basketball head coach Greg Brown has been selected as one of 30 coaches across the country to participate in the Center for Coaching Excellence by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA). The invitation-only elite leadership program will be held June 3-5 at Columbia University in New York.
Capitalizing on the resources of Columbia University, one of the world’s leading research institutions, and the WBCA, the CCE provides an unparalleled, exclusive learning experience. Utilizing collaborative and interactive learning sessions along with lectures and panel discussions featuring experts in college athletics and women’s basketball, the CCE provides college women’s basketball coaches valuable networking opportunities with their peers and top industry leaders.
The CCE is dedicated to providing college women’s basketball with the professional skills and personal ethics training necessary to be exceptional leaders. Successful completion of the prescribed curriculum will result in basketball coaches committed to steadfast adherence to ethical leadership practices.
Founded in 1981, the WBCA promotes women’s basketball by unifying coaches at all levels to develop a reputable identity for the sport and to foster and promote the development of the game as a sport for women and girls.
