The Lady Bison golf team will travel to Clarksville, Tenn., to take part in the 36-hole Austin Peay Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday.
The tournament will be played at the Clarksville Country Club. It is a par-72 that covers 5,960 yards. The field will include 14 teams and 11 individuals.
The Lady Bisons’ last tournament was Sept. 23-24 in the SIUE DoubleTree Invitational where they finished second out of 10 teams with a total score of 642.
Sami Khan finished as the medalist with scores of 79-75 for a 154. It was Khan's first career win and also the first win by a Lady Bison in Lipscomb's NCAA era. Khan is the team’s stroke average leader at 78.
In the APSU Intercollegiate last season, the Lady Bisons finished sixth and was paced by Savanna Schubert who finished 13th overall.
Schubert has a scoring average of 79.6 with a low-round of 78 in 2013.
Morgan Bucher is third on the team with an average of 81.4. In a dual match versus Belmont, Bucher claimed the medalist after shooting 75.
Miriam Parker finished in a tie for sixth after shooting 159 (78, 81) in the DoubleTree Invitational.
MacKenzy Carter, Sabrina Ferreri and Sarah McFarlin round out the rest of the squad. The Lipscomb squad has plenty of experience with three seniors, three juniors and a sophomore.
The APSU Intercollegiate will be played over two days and everyone will play 18-holes each day.
