Lipscomb University women's soccer coach Jenger Parrish has announced the signing of Carol Ann Bowker of Arlington, Tenn.
Bowker, a graduate of Bolton High School, played four years on the varsity soccer team. She also played junior varsity softball for two years, serving as a manager for the softball team for one year.
Bowker's athletic awards include being named the school's 2004-2005 Female Athlete of the Year. She was also named the school's Outstanding Athlete for the Fall of 2004 overall at the school in both the male and female categories. She served as team captain in 2004. She was named to the All-District Team in 2002. She was the Most Valuable Player on the team in 2001. IN 2003 she was honored with the Softball Coach's Award, In 2003 Bowker was named to the Sports edition of Who's Who Among American High School Students.
Bowker also played for the West Tennessee Futbol Club, serving as team captain for 2003-2004.
Academically, Bowker also won numerous honors. She was a Top Ten Student from 2002-2004, a member of the National Honor Society (2003-2005), the National Beta Club (2002-2005), the National Art Honor Society (2004), Who's Who Among American High School Students (2001-2004), National Honor Roll (2003-2005) and the National Society of High School Scholars (2003).
She is the daughter of Carol and Rick Bowker. Her older brother, Adam, is a pitcher at the University of Tennessee-Martin.
