Sept. 18, 2005 - Lipscomb's Lady Bisons were the victims of a "White Out".
Winthrop forward Chelsea White scored two first half goals and assisted on the first goal of the game in a 5-1 victory over the Lady Bisons on a sunny afternoon at the Lipscomb Soccer Complex.
Winthrop forward Allison Stoltz started the scoring eight minutes into the game as she took a pass from White and put a shot by Lady Bison goalkeeper Bethany Copeland.
White would strike a little more than seven minutes later with a goal at 15:12. Kristen Lee got the assist.
At 21:43 White scored her second goal of the half with Emily Anderson earning the assist.
Winthrop carried a 3-0 lead into the second half.
Lipscomb defender Brittany Harp prevent the shutout when she scored on a 20-yard blast that went high in to the left side of the net. Forward Sasha Sack got the assist.
The scoring wasn't over for Winthrop however.
Forward Lauren DeLellis scored at 65:12. Michelle Butler was credited with the assist.
Midfielder Jennifer Hensley closed out the scoring for Winthrop with a goal at 82:26.
Dimtitra Poulus was in goal for Winthrop. She stopped four shots.
Bethany Copeland was in goal for Lipscomb. She made six saves.
Winthrop had 11 shots on goal and 18 shots for the game. The Lady Bisons made eight shots, five of them shots on goal.
The Lady Bisons fell to 0-6-1. Winthrop is 4-3-1.
