Sunday, October 17, 2010The Lady Bisons scored first, but they couldn't score any more in a 4-1 Atlantic Sun loss Sunday afternoon at Florida Gulf Coast in Fort Myers, Fla.
Courtney Williams scored her first college goal with an unassisted shot that went high into the top of the net at 33:46 of the first half.
Florida Gulf Coast answered with two goals in the first half and two in the second.
Olivia Elias, who entered the game with one goal for the season for Florida Gulf Coast, scored twice with one in each half. She also assisted on one goal.
Stacy Payne and Kathleen Hunter also scored. Hunter had the final goal of the game at 60:11 on a penalty kick.
The Lady Bisons were outshot 18-4. Florida Gulf Coast held a 10-2 advantage in shots on goal.
The loss dropped the Lady Bisons to 4-13-0, 0-9 in the A-Sun. Florida Gulf Coast is 10-4-2, 7-0-2 in the conference.
The Lady Bisons close out the season Oct. 23 at Belmont at 1 p.m.
