March 29, 2008
Rain took an early ending for the Campbell match on March 29th, 2008. The Lady Bisons started out in a tough situation at the beginning of the match with a rain delay, and then ending the game early after singles were played.
Number one player, Raphaela Jann was out due to illness which caused every player to have to play one position higher than they usually play.
Claire Landry came back from being down 2-5 in the second set and split sets with her opponent. She lost in a third set tiebreaker.
"I was proud of her efforts, said Coach Kristin Lusk. "She has really improved as a player this year and she is only a freshman. She will be an exciting player to watch in the upcoming years."
Kara Jackson played at the number one spot for the first time this year and played an extremely tough first set.
"She was not intimidated at all to be playing number one," said Lusk.
Caitlin Khouri also had a great match at number two singles.
"She fought hard the entire match and never gave up, said Lusk. "All the girls should be proud of thier efforts on the court this weekend."
Lusk hopes to make this experience a positive one and fight hard throughout the conclusion of the season.
