NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Kentucky is coming to Lipscomb from more than one direction.
Friday afternoon at 6 p.m., Western Kentucky visit the Whitworth Racquet Club to face the Lady Bisons and at 7 p.m., the Bisons face the Hilltoppers at Richland Country Club. Saturday afternoon at 5 Northern Kentucky visits to play Atlantic Sun matches against the Bisons and Lady Bisons.
Western Kentucky is 6-5.
The Lady Bisons lost A-Sun matches on the road last weekend at Florida Gulf Coast and Stetson. They also lost Wednesday at home 4-3 to Northern Iowa.
"The biggest thing right now we need to focus on is our preparation," LU coach Andrew Harris said. "We have to do all we can to be at our best when it is match time.
"All the girls continue to be open-minded about our process mentality even though we are eight months into the season. And that is hard to do."
When Harris talks about the process he is primarily talking about two things - fundamentals and daily improvement.
"We can't worry about getting better in three weeks or in a month," Harris said. "We have to improve Friday."
There are four new additions to the Lady Bisons. They have been close in several matches and the losses to Northern Iowa and a 4-3 defeat at the hands of Liberty are two that Harris has on his mind.
"We are definitely at the doorstep," Harris said. "They have to think about what they can do the next day to get better in order to make sure that the next time they are in that position that they can come through."
