It was another amazing summer filled with mission trips, camps, and opportunities to serve in our own backyard. Our student-athletes experienced God in a powerful way in Malawi, Africa, Baja, Mexico and right here in Nashville. We are grateful how Jesus continues to lead every step of the way! As Dallas Willard wrote, we recognize, "spiritual formation in Christ is a process of growing in Kingdom living and participating in God’s mission," and that is what marked this summer.
“We got to be the hands and feet of Jesus to some of our brothers and sisters in Malawi. We loved on kids, and mommas, and aunties, and cooks, and guards, and gardeners. We had the privilege of building relationships that we will never forget. We learned to love each other, not on the surface, but for who we are at our core. We learned that language is not a barrier when it comes to God’s love. We learned selflessness from the kids as well as how to love unconditionally. We were reminded that as God’s children, it’s our responsibility to show others Jesus in everything!” Carleigh Short- Senior, WBasketball
“I wish All-Sports camp was longer because I got to spend time with people that I normally don’t get to be around. I loved learning more about myself and how God takes care of us no matter what we do.” Zaylee -camper age 10
“I’ve been to Baja four times now. Every time I am truly amazed by the people there. They show me every year what unconditional love is. The kids are full of joy no matter how hard their life is. We are greeted every day with huge smiles and bigger hugs. Every year it feels impossible to leave but when the time comes, I leave with my heart full. I always leave eager to be back with the people who have become a part of my family. I am also thankful for my team who give their whole hearts to the people of Baja.” Mandy Jordan- Senior, Softball
