
Doak Signs First Pro Contract, Buhigas Joins New Club

NASHVILLE - Lipscomb women's soccer continues to have players move on to further their careers after shining on the field at the Lipscomb Soccer Complex. The latest update from the pitch involves two greats in Olivia Doak and Anna Buhigas. Check out the information below to read the news on what they are currently up to.
OLIVIA DOAK:
Doak, a recent graduate from Lipscomb, signed her first pro contract with PK-35 Vantaa, a soccer team located in Finland, last week. After graduating in the fall, Doak played for the local Nashville Rhythm where she was the team's leading goal-scorer with seven goals in 11 matches. During her time at Lipscomb Doak became one of the most accomplished players in program history. She helped lead the Bisons to three straight ASUN regular-season championships, back-to-back ASUN Tournament championships and NCAA Tournament appearances, was named the ASUN Player of the Year in 2018, the ASUN Scholar Athlete of the Year in 2019 and finished her career ranking second in school history with 29 career goals and 20 career assists.
ANNA BUHIGAS:
Buhigas joined a new club, Real Betis Feminas, located in Spain, last month and signed a contract through the end of the season. Before signing with Real Betis Feminas, Buhigas had spent the majority of her career playing in Italy. She played for Tavagnacco for the 2017-18 season and then joined Verona for the 2018-19 season. She has also spent time in the Champions League with Pyrgos Limassol, located in Cyprus.
