ATLANTA, Ga. – Lipscomb women's track & field's
Bella Jackson was named the ASUN Women's Field Athlete of the Week after winning the women's high jump at the Georgia Tech Invitational last weekend. This honor marks the first time that Jackson has garnered ASUN Field Athlete of the Week honors and seventh time earning a weekly track & field award (Jackson won ASUN Women's Freshman of the Week in each of the six previous weekly award victories).
Jackson paced Lipscomb's women's track & field this past weekend at the Georgia Tech Invitational by winning the women's high jump with a distance of 1.75m, which ranks third in the ASUN this season ranks tied for 13th in the South Region so far this outdoor season.
The sophomore also crossed 20th in the women's 100m hurdles with a time of 14.97, which ranks 21st in the ASUN so far this season.
The Bisons will return to Nashville on Friday, April 28 as they compete in the two-day Music City Challenge, hosted by Vanderbilt, in the team's final tune-up before ASUN Outdoor Championships start on May 11.
