We have been greeted with nothing but joy and cheerfulness from our loving hosts during our time so far here in Scotland. We spent the day helping to manicure the garden that was in need of some attention. The Carberry garden has lots of history, with one fun fact being that Queen Elizabeth and Princess Margot actually use to play in the garden when they were children. 

Through the day as we were in the garden, whether it was picking weeds, dead-heading roses, or trimming hedges, we were so enamored with God's creation. While we were working, there were so many metaphors and analogies about the Lord that were revealed to us! Some that stuck out most, were how we often have "weeds" in our lives that need to be removed and also how deeply we are rooted in Christ. Many of the weeds looked small from the surface of the ground but once pulled up, had vast root systems that wouldn't be found if the weed had not been removed. These hiding roots made us think about how at times a situation or experience might not seem like much, but with time and "more digging" the Lord can use small or insignificant things for a much larger and more grand purpose. Alongside the work in the garden, we were also blessed to spend more time with Eliana, the Mitchell's daughter. Being around her pure joy, happiness, and excitement from simply being around the people she loves was a sweet testament to the joy we all feel being here together as a group with the incredible opportunity to serve the Lord in unique and special ways.

The Lord's faithfulness has been so apparent to us throughout this trip, allowing our relationships with Him to deepen, grow, and flourish.

We are looking forward to another day here in Scotland, with anticipation of the many ways the Lord is continuing to work!
