
Bisons Shine at Commodore Classic

Lipscomb Track & Field stayed in Nashville and competed at the Commodore Challenge hosted by Vanderbilt to open the New Year. Formerly a two-day meet, the Commodore Challenge was condensed into a single day of events to accommodate the winter weather that hit Music City.
Lipscomb set a program record in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:13.34. Saxon Brown, Joe Kennedy, Nate Wallace, and Braeden Ofosu-Kwarteng set the record to lead all teams and place first in the event.
Colbi Borland placed first in the Women's 800m with a time of 2:10.61. She was tailed by fellow Bison Mackenzie Barnett, who crossed second in 2:18.09. Borland also placed first in the Women's Mile with a time of 4:47.20.
Along with contributing to the school record in the 4x400m Relay, Braeden Ofosu-Kwarteng placed first in the Men's 300m with a time of 33.39. Joe Kennedy also received a podium spot in the event, finishing in 34.97 to place third. In the Men's Mile, Trey Haralson ran a 4:12.31 to place second overall.
