Nashville All-Sports Camp 2026 Get Ready To Live Recap

This summer, the Nashville All-Sports Camp provided more than games, competition, and fun. It was a beautiful picture of how God can use something as simple as sports to build relationships, open hearts, and remind children that they are deeply loved by Him.
Hosted by Lipscomb Athletics Spiritual Formation in partnership with Project 658, the camp brought together local children, Lipscomb student-athletes, coaches, and volunteers for a week filled with energy, encouragement, and faith. Campers spent each day playing sports such as soccer, flag football, volleyball, dodgeball, track and field, and more. However, the heart of the week went far beyond the activities on the field.
This year's camp theme was "Get Ready to Live!" based on John 14:5–6, where Jesus says, "I am the way and the truth and the life." Throughout the week, Bible time, skits, small groups, and intentional conversations helped campers understand that true life is found in Jesus. They were reminded that life with Him is not just something for later, but something He invites us into right now.
Through this theme, campers learned that their worth is not found in how well they play, how fast they run, or whether they win or lose. They were reminded that they are created by God, loved by God, and invited to follow Jesus—the One who gives real life, purpose, and hope.

Lipscomb student-athletes served as coaches and role models throughout the week, using their gifts and love for sports as a way to serve others and point campers toward Christ. For many of them, camp was also a meaningful opportunity to grow in leadership, boldness, and faith. They were able to see firsthand how sports can become a tool of ministry and how God can use their experiences as athletes for something bigger than themselves.

The camp also gives former campers the opportunity to return as junior coaches, allowing them to continue being part of the camp community while growing as leaders.

One of the most special parts of All-Sports Camp is the community that forms so quickly. By the end of the week, campers were not just learning new games or competing with one another, they were building friendships, growing in confidence, and experiencing the kind of joy that comes from being known, encouraged, and cared for.
Parents also shared how meaningful the camp was for their children and families. Many reflected on the joy their children carried home, the confidence they gained, and the way they felt welcomed and loved throughout the week.
"My kids have been attending All-Sports Camp for the past four summers. It is hands down the one camp they look forward to the most. My kids would tell me they love the camp because Coach Carrot Cake drank an entire jar of pickle juice, because they dominated in the World Cup game, and because camp makes learning the Bible 'actually fun.' But as a mom, I think the real reason they love All-Sports Camp as much as they do is because it is a place where they are truly seen. They are seen for who they are as individuals, appreciated for the unique roles each of them brings to camp, and encouraged and supported by an incredibly loving group of staff and coaches.
I will always remember our first year back at camp. As soon as we walked through the door on the first day, Coach Cowabunga came right over, knelt down to the kids' level, addressed them by name, and told them how excited he was to spend another week with them. Nashville All-Sports Camp continues to be a powerful reminder that ministry can happen anywhere; even in the middle of a field, a gym, or a relay race. Through every game, conversation, cheer, and prayer, seeds of faith were planted, and the love of Jesus was made visible.
We are grateful for the campers, families, Project 658, Lipscomb student-athletes, coaches, and volunteers who helped make this week so meaningful. Our prayer is that each child left camp knowing that they are loved by God, created with purpose, and invited into true life with Jesus; the One who is the way, the truth, and the life.
