Jenny Jensen joins the Lipscomb University Cross Country and Track & Field programs after a successful collegiate running career at Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho and at Northwest University in Kirkland, Wash.
A four time national qualifier in Cross Country and two time national qualifier in Track & Field, Jenny was also named the 2007 Frontier Conference Cross Country Runner of the Year.
A former runner for current Lipscomb Head Coach Bill Taylor while he was Head Coach at Northwest University, Jenny witnessed the 2002 women’s team win the NAIA National Championship as a redshirt. In 2003 as a freshman, she ran at the National Championships on a Northwest University team that finished second in the nation, then qualified for the Outdoor Track & Field National Championships in 5000m (one of seven women from Northwest to qualify for nationals in the 5000m that year).
Jenny transferred to Lewis-Clark State University after the 2004 track & field season and the departure of Head Coach Bill Taylor. At Lewis-Clark State Jenny qualified for Nationals three times in Cross Country and once in Track. Jenny graduated from Lewis-Clark State with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Coaching.
In high school Jenny ran for Kent-Meridian High School in Kent, Wash.
Jenny will assist with both the cross country and track and field programs at Lipscomb.
