Imes joined the Lipscomb men’s and women’s Track & Field staff in October of 2022 as an assistant coach. Imes works with the men’s and women’s field eventers, sprinters, and hurdlers and posesses a USATF Level I coaching certification.
Imes first came to Nashville in 2018 as a freshman to compete with the Bisons as a sprinter. He primarily ran in the 400m dash and the 200m dash.
The Germantown, Md. native is a six-time Indoor Track & Field Champion, including becoming the ASUN’s first four-time event winner in his senior year with a time of 46.79 in the 400m dash. He is also a three-time Second Team All-Conference team member and was twice a member of the Third Team All-Conference.
On the outdoor track, Imes continued to shine for the Bisons as he accrued three ASUN Champion titles, four First Team All-Conference titles, a pair of Third Team All-Conference titles, and the 2018 ASUN Outdoor Track & Field Freshman of the Year title over his time with the team.
Imes was a combined five-time ASUN Track Performer of the Week and was named to the ASUN Indoor Track & Field All-Academic Team in his senior season.
Imes holds the program records for both the indoor and outdoor 400m dash and is a member of the program-record holding squad for the indoor 4x100m relay, the indoor 4x400m relay, the outdoor 4x400m relay, and the outdoor DMR. He also holds the freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior indoor track program records and the sophomore and senior outdoor track program records for the 400m dash.
Imes capped off his final season competing for the Bisons with a trip to the 2022 NCAA Track & Field East Preliminary for his performance at the Raleigh Relays. There, he posted his second-best time of the season at 46.65 to move on to the quarterfinals where he finished 21st and cemented his place as the top 400m dash runner in the conference with a time of 46.95.
