Biography

2011 Cross Country: Competed in five meets… Posted a 16:12s 5K run at the Powerade Invite, where he finished 20th… His personal-best 8K mark came in the blue race at the Louisville Cross Country Classic; the 26:15.76s mark earned him a 75th-place finish… Concluded the season with a 43rd-place, 27:06.74s finish at the A-Sun Championships.
2010 Cross Country: Competed in six meets for the Bisons... Season-best 15th-place finish came in the Belmont Opener; Yang finished the 5K race in 16:09.59... Followed that up with a personal-best 8K mark of 27:00 at Vermont... Lowered that mark two weeks later to 26:18 at Willamette Invitational, hosted by Oregon.
Prep: Competed for Ken Hendler at Oceanside High School… Two-time All-State honorable mention… Part of county champion relay teams in the indoor and outdoor 4x800m events in 2008… Accomplished distance runner… Member of the National Honor Society.
Personal: Son of George and Kwei Yang… Has two sisters, Diane and Nancy… Plans to major in biology or pre-medicine at Lipscomb, actually chose to become a Bison due to the strong science programs… An accomplished singer and actor, has appeared in commercials.
