Ivy Renfroe joined the Lipscomb softball coaching staff in the fall of 2014 as a volunteer assistant and is assisting in a variety of areas with a primary emphasis on pitching.

Renfroe, born in Jackson, Tennessee, was a standout pitcher for the Tennessee Lady Vols from 2010 through 2013. She made three trips to the Women’s College World Series with the Lady Vols.

She has two younger sisters, Ellen and Anna, who both followed her footsteps to play for the Lady Vols.

Renfroe completed her career with a 97-24 record, ranking second in career victories in program history. She struck out 737 batters in 749.2 innings. She is third on the all-time list in games started in the circle with 104. She is second all-time in appearances with 158.

She posted five no hitters and 28 shutouts, second on the all-time list for the Lady Vols.

Renfroe was named to the All-Southeastern Conference Team all four years at UT. She was a member of the Women’s College World Series All-Tournament team in 2010.

In 2013 the Akron Racers selected her eighth overall in the National Pro Fastpitch College Draft.

She majored in landscape design at UT. She is also a 2009 graduate of Trinity Christian Academy.

In addition to helping the Lady Bisons Renfroe is also working in various camps in the Midstate area.
