A Lipscomb alumnus, Cam May joined the Bisons Athletic Department in July 2026 as Assistant Athletic Director for Events, Facilities, and Operations.
In this comprehensive role, May will provide strategic oversight of all athletics facilities and operational functions, ensuring venues are competition-ready, events are executed flawlessly, and daily operations support student-athlete and coach success. His role will include game and tournament administration as well as sport administration responsibilities.
May brings exceptional institutional knowledge and a proven track record to the position. Most recently, he served as Lipscomb's Event Operations Manager, leading event operations for university programs and special events, serving up to 5,000 attendees while supervising both full-time employees and seasonal student staff. He successfully oversaw summer housing operations for camps and conferences, coordinating logistics across multiple residence halls for programs accommodating up to 1,400 overnight guests.
Previously, as Event Services Coordinator, May coordinated ticketing logistics and operations for more than 50 annual events and developed a digital request system that improved workflow efficiency and client communication. He also developed emergency preparedness resources for summer housing operations, including evacuation protocols and communication plans for various scenarios.
Earning his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a 4.0 GPA from Lipscomb in 2022, May was selected as an inaugural member of the Lipscomb University Staff Council, representing staff perspectives and contributing to university-wide initiatives. He is completing his Master of Arts in Christian Ministry in 2027.
