Dwight Dale is entering his 11th season with the Lipscomb women's tennis team and his seventh as the squad's associate head coach ahead of the 2025-26 season.
Dale joined Jamie Aid's staff in 2015 as an assistant coach and, prior to the 2019-20 season, was elevated to associate head coach.
Advancing to the semifinals of the ASUN Women’s Tennis Championship seven times since 2015 (2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2024, 2025), the program has qualified for the postseason event 10 out of 11 times (2020 championship not played).
Dale helped guide the Bisons to a banner season in 2024 when the squad earned the program's first national ranking by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (No. 72) on Feb. 24.
Starting 8-2, marking the best 10-match start in program history, the Bisons earned the No. 2 seed in the ASUN Tournament, the program's highest ever seed.
As a junior player, Dale was nationally ranked in both singles and doubles and participated in a number of national-level events. Dale also represented the Southern section at the National Zonals event.
A Nashville native, Dale competed for Montgomery Bell Academy in high school and was a multi-season All-State performer. He was also a member of their 2003 State Championship Team.
Dale has taken his teachings to the Lipscomb community as a whole, serving as one of the head teaching professionals at the Lipscomb Racquet Club for 10 years and is a PTR certified teaching professional.
