Jake Hopcroft is in his second year as an assistant athletic trainer with the Lipscomb University Sports Medicine team, serving as the primary contact for the baseball and women's golf programs.Â
Prior to his time in Nashville, he was a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Canisius University, where he worked with the baseball, men's soccer and women's soccer squads.Â
Hopcroft started earning work experience as a student athletic trainer for two seasons at the University of Pittsburgh. Some of his rotations include working with the men's soccer, men's and women's ice hockey and women's volleyball programs. Additionally, he was a part of the sports medicine coverage for the 2021 NCAA Frozen Four and the 2022 NCAA Volleyball Tournament.Â
He holds certifications with the National Athletic Trainers' Association and is a Certified Athletic Trainer by the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer.Â
He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science in athletic training in 2022. He earned a Master of Science in exercise science from Canisius University in 2024.
