Morgan Mitchell started as the Director of Academic Services at Lipscomb University in January 2022. In this role, Mitchell oversees all at-risk student-athletes, the Athletics Development Center operations, eligibility and PTD of assigned student-athletes, and is the SAAC Administrator. She is currently the primary advisor for all sport’s at-risk student-athletes, as well as, Men’s Soccer, Men’s Golf, Women’s Golf, Men’s Track & Field and Cross Country, and Volleyball.
Prior to Lipscomb, Mitchell worked full-time at Austin Peay and SFA. At both institutions she was the academic advisor for Football, primarily working with at-risk student-athletes to foster growth in their academic careers and help them graduate while maintaining eligibility.
Prior to working full-time, Mitchell was a Young Professional Post Grad Intern at the University of Tennessee and a Graduate Assistant at Mercer University. While she was a GA at Mercer she earned her MBA.
As an undergrad at Mercer, Mitchell completed her degree in Marketing with a minor in Management while playing indoor and beach volleyball for the Bears. She earned second team all-conference her junior year, was a SoCon Commissioner’s Medal recipient from 2014-2017, and earned SoCon and ASUN Academic All-Conference from 2015-2017.
She is a native of Plano, Texas and currently resides in Nashville with her husband Chad Mitchell.
