MACON, Ga. – Lipscomb sophomore defender Emily Shuler has been named to the Atlantic Sun Academic All-Conference team after sporting a 4.0 GPA in Theology and Ministry.

The Charlotte, N.C., native started 17 games for the Lady Bisons and notched her first career goal at Alabama A&M.

She played on a defensive line that set a school record with six shutouts while the Lady Bisons picked up six wins, also a school record.

Lipscomb qualified for the A-Sun Championship for the first time in school history. As the No. 6 seed, the Lady Bisons travel to Kennesaw, Ga., for a 6 p.m. contest against Kennesaw State.
