NASHVILLE - The Lipscomb women's golf team returns to action for its second tournament of the season at the Bubba Burger Jacksonville Classic Sept. 30-Oct. 1.
The Bisons look to carry the momentum from their first tournament, which saw Lipscomb take home the team title at the MSU Greenbrier Invitational, into their second outing of the 2019-2020 season. The Purple and Gold set a school record, 54-hole total of 908 on their way to claiming their first tournament championship since 2013.
Sophomore Emily Keeling had a career outing her last time hitting the links at the MSU Greenbrier Invitational. Keeling shot rounds of 72-72-75 to finish at 219 (+3) to finish runner-up by two strokes. Keeling’s 54-hole total is the second-lowest mark in program history and was just one stroke shy of tying the school record.
The tournament will be held at the Marsh Landing Country Club in Ponte Verda Beach, Fla. on a course par-72 course that runs at 5,967 yards.
The 13-team field will begin play on Monday with 36-holes, followed by 18-holes on Tuesday.
