Women's track and field lands three on ASUN All-Decade Team

ATLANTA, Ga. - The ASUN Conference announced the Women's Track and Field 2011-20 All-Decade Team as 31 student-athletes were named to the list across six programs. Jacksonville led the way with 14 student-athletes named to the All-Decade Team followed by eight from Kennesaw State and three each from Lipscomb and North Florida.

Over the past 10 years, three programs have captured ASUN Championship titles in Jacksonville (7 Indoor, 6 Outdoor), Kennesaw State (1 Indoor, 2 Outdoor) and Liberty (2 Indoor, 1 Outdoor). Fourty-four student-athletes have represented the ASUN at the NCAA Outdoor Championships while four student-athletes have competed in the NCAA Indoor Championships. Jacksonville leads the way with 16 NCAA qualifiers while Kennesaw State has 14. 

To be named to the All-Decade Team individuals must have competed for at least two years in the decade as an ASUN student-athlete. Exceptions made for NCAA All-Americans. Individuals that obtained one of the following criteria were named to the team: three First Team All-Conference selections in Single Event, five total First Team All-Conference selections (including relays), multiple superlative awards or be an NCAA Championship individual participant.


2011-20 Women's Track and Field All-Decade Team (listed in alphabetical order by last name)

Jacquelyn Baldwin, Jacksonville (2016-19)
- Baldwin is one of the most successful student-athletes to ever compete for the Dolphins. During her career at Jacksonville, she claimed 14 event wins at the ASUN Track and Field Championships, winning the 60 Meter (4x), 100 Meter (3x), 200 Meter (3x), 4x100m Relay (2x) and 4x400m Relay (2x). She also made her NCAA Championship debut in 2019 as she competed in the 4x100m Relay in which she aided her squad to a 15th-place finish. Baldwin is also one of two ASUN student-athletes to claim four wins in the same event as she is a four-time 60 Meter Dash Champion.  
 
Courtney Brenner, Lipscomb (2018-present)
- Brenner is a seven-time ASUN Champion as she has claimed titles in the Indoor 3,000m (2x), 5,000m (3x) and Outdoor 5,000m (2x). Along with her event wins, Brenner has also been tabbed the Indoor ASUN Championship MVP (2020), Track Performer of the Championship (2019-20) and Indoor Scholar-Athlete of the Year (2019-20). She also holds the ASUN Championship Record in the 3,000 Meter (9:32.23) as well as six Athlete of the Week distinctions. 
 
Charlene Charles, Jacksonville (2010-13)
- In 2012, Charles qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships where she placed 15th in the Heptathlon. Along with her NCAA qualification, she is a seven-time ASUN Champion claiming titles in the Long Jump (5x), Pentathlon and Heptathlon. Throughout her career, she earned Championship MVP and Most Outstanding Field Performer three times each as well as Freshman of the Year honors. Charles is also a four-time All-Academic team member. 

Kree Clark, Jacksonville (2013-16)
- A three-time Most Outstanding Field Performer, Clark is one of the most accomplished throwers to ever compete in the ASUN. Throughout her career, she claimed 13 ASUN Championship event wins for the Dolphins as she won the Shot Put (3x), Weight Throw (3x), Hammer Throw (3x) and the Discus (4x) at the ASUN Championships. Along with her numerous ASUN Titles, Clark also tallied 13 Athlete of the Week distinctions, the most of any ASUN student-athlete. She also holds the ASUN Championship Records in the Weight Throw (20.25m) and Discus (52.58m).


Brianna Frazier, North Florida (2011-14)
- A two-time NCAA qualifier, Frazier has both an 11th and ninth-place finishes in the 400 Meter at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. During her career in the ASUN, she claimed 10 event wins at the ASUN Championships with wins coming in the 200 Meter (4x), 400 Meter (5x) and 4x400m Relay. She was also named Most Outstanding Freshman, Track Performer and MVP during her career. 
 
Bienna Freeman, Jacksonville (2011-13)
- An 11-time ASUN Champion, Freeman had event wins in the 800 Meter (5x), 4x400m Relay (4x) and Distance Medley Relay (2x) during her career with the Dolphins. She also competed at the 2013 NCAA Outdoor Championships where she placed 10th in the 800 Meter. Freeman was also named to the All-Academic Team three times and an Athlete of the Week selection four times. 
 
Ecaterina Gheorghiu, North Florida (2009-11)
- In her only season competing in the ASUN, Gheorghiu qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the 3,000 Meter Steeplechase where she placed 23rd for the Ospreys. Gheorghiu also earned an Athlete of the Week distinction after winning the 3,000 Meter Steeplechase at the Florida Relays. 
 
Jordan Gray, Kennesaw State (2014-19)
- An NCAA qualifier, Gray competed in the Pentathlon at the 2019 Indoor National Championships where she claimed a Runner-Up finish, the highest finish of any ASUN athlete at the Indoor National Meet. She competed at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the Heptathlon in 2017 and 2019 where she placed seventh at both. During her career, she claimed 11 event wins at the ASUN Championships in the Pentathlon (4x), Heptathlon (2x), Javelin (2x), Long Jump, and High Jump. 
 
Michelle Howell, Jacksonville (2015-18)
- In 2018, Howell competed at the NCAA Outdoor Championships where she finished 15th in the 800 Meter. She had 10 event wins at the ASUN Championships with wins coming in the 800 Meter (4x), 4x400m Relay (3x), 1,500 Meter (2x) and Distance Medley Relay during her career with the Dolphins. She was also dubbed the Most Outstanding Track Performer during the 2016 and 2018 Outdoor Championships as well as Athlete of the Week on six different occasions. 
 
Chelsea Igberaese, Liberty (2019-present)
- During the 2019 season, Igberaese qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the Discus where she placed 20th. She also picked up ASUN Championship wins in the Weight Throw and Hammer Throw during the 2019 season along with an Athlete of the Week honor.  

Louise Kiernan, Jacksonville (2009-11)
- An NCAA qualifier, Kiernan competed at the National Championships in 2009 in the 4x100m Relay where she helped earn her squad a 15th-place finish. During her career with the Dolphins, Kiernan picked up eight event wins at the ASUN Championships in the 4x100m Relay (3x), 100 Meter (2x), 60 Meter (2x) and 200 Meter. 
 
Eden Meyer, North Florida (2015-18)
- A two-time NCAA qualifier, Meyer competed in the Outdoor National Championships twice in the 10,000 Meter placing 15th in 2017 and 20th in 2018. During her time with the Ospreys, she picked up event wins in the 10,000 Meter (4x), 5,000 Meter (2x) and 3,000 Meter. Meyer also holds the ASUN Championship record in the Indoor 5,000 Meter. Meyer is a four-time Scholar-Athlete of the Year and was also named to six All-Academic teams. She picked up five Athlete of the Week honors as well as the 2017 Indoor Track Performer of the Championships. 
 
Suzee Mills, Kennesaw State (2010-13)
- A two-time Athlete of the Week, Mills' career in the ASUN was highlighted by being named the 2010 Most Outstanding Field Performer at the ASUN Outdoor Track and Field Championships. During her time at Kennesaw State, Mills had event wins in the Weight Throw (2x), Javelin (2x), Discus and Hammer Throw. 
 
Naomi Mojica, Liberty (2019-present)
- Since the Flames entered the ASUN Conference, Mojica has won every single ASUN Championship Shot Put title that she has competed in (3x). In each of her performances at the Conference meet, Mojica has broken the Shot Put records, setting the Indoor Record at 15.34 Meters and the Outdoor Record at 15.37 Meters. She was also named Athlete of the Week twice during the 2019 Outdoor season. 
 
Noelle Parker, Jacksonville (2016-19)
- During her time with the Dolphins, Parker won a total of four Shot Put titles at the ASUN Championship meets with two coming in Indoor and two coming in Outdoor. She was also dubbed the Field Performer of the Week during the 2016 Outdoor season after placing fifth at the Florida Relays in the Shot Put. 
 
Stormm Phillips, Jacksonville (2015-18)
- A three-time ASUN Championship MVP, Phillips earned numerous accolades during her time as a Dolphin. Throughout her career, she was dubbed Freshman of the Year, Scholar-Athlete of the Year (3x) and Most Outstanding Field Performer (2x). Phillips was also named to six All-Academic teams and Athlete of the Week on nine different occasions. Phillips had event wins in the Triple Jump (4x), 4x100m Relay (2x), Heptathlon and Pentathlon. 
 
Joane Pierre, Jacksonville (2010-13)
- A 2013 NCAA qualifier, Pierre competed in the 800 Meter at the NCAA Outdoor Championships where she placed 19th. During her time with the Dolphins, Pierre was named the Most Outstanding Track Performer for Indoor twice as well as Athlete of the Week on four occasions. She compiled a total of 12 event wins at the ASUN Championships as she won the 800 Meter (3x), Distance Medley Relay (3x), Mile (3x) and 1,500 Meter (3x). 
 
Jocselyn Powell, Kennesaw State (2015-18)
- A 2017 NCAA qualifier, Powell competed in the 400m Hurdles at the NCAA Outdoor Championships where she placed 21st. While competing for the Owls, Powell was named Athlete of the Week on three separate occasions. During her career, Powell picked up nine event wins at ASUN Championship meets as she won the 100m Hurdles (2x), 400m Hurdles (3x), 4x400m Relay (2x), and 60m Hurdles (2x). She also holds the ASUN Championship Record for the 400m Hurdles with a time of 58.52. 
Erica Sergeant, Kennesaw State (2015-19)
- During her time at Kennesaw State, Sergeant won a total of five Pole Vault titles at the ASUN Championships with two coming in Indoor and three in Outdoor. In 2019, she set the Outdoor ASUN Championship record for the Pole Vault (4.15m) to end her career as an Owl. Sergeant was also named Athlete of the Week on six separate occasions. 
 
Madi Talbert, Lipscomb (2013-16)
- The ASUN's only four-time NCAA qualifier, Talbert competed at the NCAA Outdoor Championships every year of her career for the Bisons. At the national meet, she placed 23rd as a Freshman, 16th as a Sophomore and 13th in both her Junior and Senior campaigns. She notched event wins at the ASUN Championship in the 3,000m Steeplechase (4x) and 5,000 Meter (4x) while also earning the title of Most Outstanding Track Performer at the ASUN Outdoor Championships in 2015. Talbert set the ASUN Record in the 3,000m Steeplechase in 2015 with a time of 10:00.01.

Julia Tarvide, Kennesaw State (2017-20)
- The 2017 Indoor and Outdoor ASUN Championship Most Outstanding Freshman Performer, Tarvide won a total of five High Jump titles at the ASUN Track and Field Championships with three coming in Indoor and two in Outdoor. She was also named to two All-Academic Teams as well as dubbed Athlete of the Week twice during her time as an Owl. 

Savyon Toombs, Jacksonville (2018-Present)
- A 2019 NCAA qualifier, Toombs competed on the 4x100m Relay squad that picked up a 15th-place finish at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. She was named the Most Outstanding Track Performer in both Indoor and Outdoor season in 2019. During her career with the Dolphins, Toombs compiled nine event wins at the ASUN Championships in the 4x400 (4x), 200 Meter (3x), 400 Meter and 4x100m Relay. Toombs was also named the Most Outstanding Track Performer of the Championships at both the 2019 Indoor and Outdoor Championships. 

Samantha Turner, Jacksonville (2014-17)
- During her time with the Dolphins, Turner had many accomplishments on and off of the track. She is the only ASUN student-athlete to be named to the All-Academic Team every season for both Indoor and Outdoor claiming a total of eight honors. Turner also picked up four wins while competing at the ASUN Championships in the Shot Put, Hammer Throw, Discus and Weight Throw. In her winning performance in the Hammer, she set the ASUN Championship record in the event with a mark of 57.67 Meters. 
 
Katerina Vodova, ETSU (2012-14)
- A three time ASUN Athlete of the Week honoree, Vodova made a big impact during her time with ETSU in the ASUN. During her final year competing in the ASUN, she was named the Most Outstanding Field Performer at both the Indoor and Outdoor Championships. At the ASUN Championships, Vodova claimed five event wins, winning the High Jump (2x), Long Jump, Pentathlon and Heptathlon. She also holds the ASUN Championship Record for the Indoor High Jump with a leap of 1.77 Meters. 
 
Courtney Walker, Jacksonville (2012-15)
- A 2015 NCAA qualifier, Walker competed at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 4x100m Relay as she and her squad placed 13th. While competing for the Dolphins, she compiled a total of 14 event wins as she won the 60 Meter, 100 Meter, 200 Meter (2x), 400 Meter (5x), 4x400m Relay, 4x100m Relay (2x) and Long Jump. She was also named the Most Outstanding Track Performer (2x) and Most Outstanding Freshman Performer while also picking up three Athlete of the Week honors. 
 
Dani Walker, Lipscomb (2011-14)
- The 2013 Indoor Track and Field Scholar-Athlete of the Year, Walker received a number of accolades during her time with the Bisons. She was named the ASUN Indoor Championship MVP and Most Outstanding Track Performer in back-to-back seasons in 2013-14 while also earning spots on All-Academic Team twice. Walker picked up ASUN Championship event wins in the 800 Meter, Mile (2x), 3,000 Meter (2x) and 5,000 Meter. 

Shanique Walker, Jacksonville (2012-15)
- A two time NCAA Championship qualifier, Walker competed at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in 2013 and 2015 in the 100m Hurdles where she placed 18th and ninth respectively. While competing for the Bisons, Walker was named Championship MVP (4x), Most Outstanding Track Performer (2x) as well as Athlete of the Week (7x). She picked up ASUN Championship event wins in the 60m Hurdles (2x), 100m Hurdles (3x), 400m Hurdles (2x) and Triple Jump (2x) for a total of nine ASUN titles.  

Aliyah Whisby, Kennesaw State (2017-18)
- While competing for the Owls, Whisby qualified for the 2018 NCAA Outdoor Championships in the Heptathlon where she placed 17th as a freshman. During the 2018 season, she was named the Outdoor Championship MVP, Most Outstanding Field Performer (2x) and Most Outstanding Freshman Performer. She picked up ASUN Championship event wins in the High Jump (2x), Heptathlon and Long Jump. 
  
Alicia Whittle, Kennesaw State (2012-15)
- A two-time NCAA qualifier, Whittle competed at the National Championships in 2013 and 2014 in the 4x100m Relay where she and her squad placed 15th and 14th respectively. During her time with the Owls, she was named the Most Outstanding Freshman Performer and earned four All-Academic Team honors. At the ASUN Championships, she had event wins in the 60 Meter, 100 Meter, 200 Meter (2x), 4x100m Relay (2x) and 4x400m Relay (3x). 

Hannah Wood, Kennesaw State (2013-17)
- During the 2013 and 2014 seasons, Wood qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 4x100m Relay where she and her squad placed 15th and 14th respectively. While competing for the Owls, she picked up six event wins at the ASUN Championship as she won the 100 Meter (2x), 200 Meter and 4x100m Relay (3x). Wood was also named to the 2014 All-Academic Team while picking up two Athlete of the Week honors. 
 
Stacey Young, Jacksonville (2009-12)
- During her time with the Dolphins, Young was named the 2011 Outdoor ASUN Track and Field Championships MVP as well as the 2009 Indoor and Outdoor Freshman Performer of the Year. While competing in the ASUN, she compiled seven event wins at the ASUN Championships as she won the 100 Meter (2x), 400, 60m Hurdles (2x), Triple Jump and Pentathlon.
