HOW IT HAPPENED:
Lipscomb started strong from the first whistle with a lot of energy and pace. The first real chance of the match came for Lipscomb in the 2' minute when
Tyrese Spicer got a look at the near post. His shot went just wide but set the tone for first half action.
In the 14' minute, Spicer flew down the left side of the pitch with the ball at his feet. He worked himself inside the box where he took a right footed shot that was blocked by a Hofstra defender. Wood was there to get a foot on the rebound and finished the right-footed shot inside the near post for a 1-0 Lipscomb lead.
Shortly after falling behind, the Pride earned a free-kick in a dangerous spot just outside the 18-yard box. Storm Strongin whipped a ball to the back post where Infuso headed the ball to the back of the net to make it a 1-1 game.
The Bisons responded well and kept pressuring the Hofstra back line. The side broke through again in the 26' minute on a set piece of their own. After earning a corner kick, Naumann put beautiful service to the back post.
Louis Robinson headed the ball in front of goal where
Thomas Priest got a foot on the ball to pass it to Bagayoko. He finished just in front of goal for a 2-1 lead.
The momentum was all in the Pride's favor to start the second 45. Hofstra scored three quick goals within the first eight minutes of the half to take a 4-2 lead.
Lipscomb controlled a majority of the second half but were unable to find the back of the net in the final 45 minutes.
