WOMEN'S SOCCER RETURNS TO TRAINING

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Lipscomb Women's Soccer returned to training on Tuesday for the first time since the conclusion of the 2020-21 spring season. After an unprecedented offseason of just four months, the Bisons have their sights set on 2021.

Team chemistry and unity will be a pillar for the Bisons this season. The team boasts a roster of 31 total players, setting the mark for the largest team in program history while returning a total of 25 players from the previous campaign.

"The Lord is our foundation. Everything we are doing is to serve and honor him.…that's where our unity comes from. We are built and connected through our relationship with the Lord." said senior captain Kelli Beiler.

The ASUN will take on a new look this season as three new teams have joined the league including Central Arkansas, Eastern Kentucky and Jacksonville State who will all compete in the north division. The additions brings the conference to a total of 12 teams.

"The ASUN is stronger than it has ever been." said head coach Kevin O'Brien. "The new teams coming in are super talented and super well coached, so it is really anyone's conference to take. We are just really excited to be a part of a conference that continues to develop, grow and get better, and I think this year could be the best ever."

Lipscomb will host South Alabama in its first exhibition match of the season at 1 p.m. on Monday, August 9 at the Lipscomb Soccer Complex.
