THE SHORT STORY: Lipscomb was unable to overcome an early 2-0 deficit on a rainy night at Butler as the Bisons suffered their first loss of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Butler was on the attack early and controlled much of the possession and pace to take the early 2-0 lead.
- After Lipscomb settled in and started dictating more possession, Wood changed the momentum when he forced a turnover in the Bisons' attaching third and calmly finished a right-footed shot past the keeper to cut the Bulldogs' lead 2-1.
- The Bisons came out on the attack in the second half, earning a pair of corners in the 58' minute. Noah Gulden put great service in the box, but the shots were saved to keep Lipscomb from equalizing.
- Michael Sibley was solid between the pipes making several key saves. In the 61' minute, he made a key save when he skied and tipped a shot just above the crossbar to keep the Bisons in striking distance.
- Butler put the game away in the 79' minute when they netted the final goal of the match for a 3-1 victory.
