JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – An early goal by captain Cami Rogers got the Bisons off to a hot start, but Lipscomb would ultimately fall to the Ospreys of North Florida after a thrilling overtime contest on Thursday night in Jacksonville.

The first half started slowly as the top two teams in the ASUN Preseason poll attempted to feel out their opposition. As the game began to open up, the better of the early chances fell to the Bisons. It wouldn't take long for Lipscomb to capitalize on its early dominance.

Fourteen minutes into the game, Alivia Carapazza played a high-arching diagonal ball across the field to Allie Dunn. The winger carried the ball deep into the Osprey third before cutting back and playing a cross into the penalty area. After multiple deflections the ball fell to the feet of Rogers who fired her shot into the net to put the Bisons a goal up.

In the second half the Ospreys grew into the game and began to command more of the possession battle. North Florida created several threatening chances but were unable to capitalize on the opportunities. However, in the 81^st minute of play the Sydney Hauth pegged the game back level off a Kayla Bond corner kick.

The first extra period saw the Ospreys continue their spell of dominance. North Florida rifled a pair of shots bound for the Bisons net, but a diving CJ Graham made a play on both chances and kept the Bisons hopes alive.

In the 108^th minute the Ospreys' Thais Reiss collected a bouncing ball in the center of the Bisons penalty area. With a calm demeanor the striker buried her chance in the low corner of goal and sealed a comeback win for her team.
