Women’s Golf Unveils 2022-23 Schedule

NASHVILLE – Fresh off of a historic 2021-22 season, head coach Jesse Lawley revealed the tournament schedule for the Lady Bisons' upcoming 2022-23 season on Friday.

"We are so excited for our schedule to finally be out," said Lawley. "It's definitely the best schedule top to bottom that we have ever had."

The squad will begin their season with a rigorous fall schedule. Things kick off with the Golfweek Fall Challenge on Sept. 11-13 at the Caledonia Golf Club on Pawley's Island, S.C.

"We are competing in our first-ever SEC event in Lipscomb women's golf history in the middle of September," Lawley continued. "It's huge for us to finally get to compete in an SEC event, it speaks to the quality of golf that we've been playing and the quality of golf that the girls have been producing to catch that kind of attention. So, we can't say enough good things about getting to play in the SEC and really size ourselves up."

Lipscomb will head to Columbia, Mo. to compete in the 2022 Johnie Imes Invitational hosted by the SEC's University of Missouri from September 26-28.

The Lady Bisons follow up this tournament with College of Charleston's Edisto Island Invitational from October 9-11.

"Obviously, this season is highlighted by our Bahamas trip in October," Lawley said. "You only get to take those once every four years, and to get to compete in the Bahamas to finish up our fall season is awesome."

Lipscomb will conclude their fall season with the White Sands Invitational at the Ocean Club Golf Course in the Bahamas, hosted this year by the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (Oct. 21-23).
After the break, the Purple and Gold will compete in five tournaments prior to the ASUN Conference tournament.

"The next cool thing about our schedule is that we host at Bay Point in February," commented Lawley.

The Lady Bisons will kick off their spring season by hosting the Lady Bison Classic at Bay Point from Feb. 5-7, hosted for the third year at the Bay Point Golf Club in Panama City, Fla.

The squad will next return to Florida and head to Jacksonville to compete in the University of Jacksonville's Sea Best Intercollegiate from Feb. 13-14. Lipscomb will close out their February slate with Charleston Southern's Rivertowne Invitational at the Rivertowne Golf Club in Charleston, S.C. (Feb. 26-28).

The top of the Lady Bisons' March schedule takes them to Las Vegas, Nev. for the Jack Rabbit Invitational, hosted by South Dakota State over March 13-14.

The Georgia State Spring Invitational, played over March 27-28 at the Rivermont Golf Club, will be the squad's final challenge before the ASUN Conference Tournament.

"We're headed to a new ASUN Conference venue this season which is a huge deal and we're really looking forward to this year," said Lawley. "I can't say enough about how hard the girls have worked over the summer, playing in events on their own and on their own time."

This year's ASUN Conference Tournament, scheduled for April 16-18, will be played at the RTJ Golf Trail at Hampton Cove, located in Owens Crossroads, Alabama.

"We're really looking forward to this year, knowing that we have a really good chance to win a handful of tournaments and bringing back all five of our five starters," Lawley finished. "We're also excited to have added some new girls and, again, we're really looking forward to this year."
