LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Lipscomb volleyball team concluded play at the Jayhawk Classic Saturday afternoon, dropping a 3-0 decision (18-25, 15-25, 12-25) to UCF inside Horejsi Family Volleyball Arena in Lawrence, Kansas.
The Bisons fall to 3-8 on the year, while the Knights improve to 8-0.
Addi Pelham put up a team-high five kills on a .214 clip, while
Meg Mersman,
Caroline Stogner and
Jada DiVita added four.
Sophia Hudepohl dished 20 of the team's 22 assists with four digs, one kill and a block.
Delaney Smith led the Bisons with five digs and
Berkley Mischler blocked a team-best three balls.
There were just four ties and one lead change in the match with UCF outhitting Lipscomb .419 to .108 and holding the purple and gold to a season low 22 kills.

After one of the strongest pre-conference schedules in the country, Lipscomb will now turn its head to ASUN Conference action.
The Bisons will gear up for a trip to the Bluegrass State where they will face Eastern Kentucky at 5 p.m. on Friday before venturing to Bellarming at 3 p.m. Saturday.
