
Bisons Finish In Top Half of Field At The Carolina Cup

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Lipscomb Men's Golf competed in The Carolina Cup this weekend hosted by USC Upstate and finished in the top half of the field. The Bisons finished seventh out of 15 teams shooting a (+25) 889 (305, 292, 292).
Will Holan once again led the way for the Bisons with a ninth-place finish. After getting out to a slow start with a 79 in the first round of competition, Holan heated up with a 69 and 71 in the second and third rounds respectively to finish (+3) on the tournament, improving 48 spots from where he sat after the third round.
Ford Goldasich was solid throughout the tournament and finished in the top-20 of the field, tying for a 19thplace finish. With two solid opening round scores (74, 72), Goldasich finished out the tournament by carding a 76 to finish (+6) on the event.
Alejandro Rodriguez finished (+7), tying for 22nd in the field after turning in a 74, 75 and 74. Sam Potter and Minas Manias rounded out Lipscomb's team scoring with a 36th and 48th place finish, respectively. Potter turned in a (+10: 79, 76, 71) while Manias carded a (+15: 78, 76, 77).
Competing as an individual, Jaron Leasure was on fire the first two days, shooting a 73 and 71, respectively in the first and second rounds. After the first two days, Leasure was tied for third, but after shooting a 79 in the final round, he finished the event tied for 22nd.
