Location: Nashville, Tenn. (Lipscomb Soccer Complex)

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Lipscomb women's soccer concluded their regular season in dazzling fashion Saturday night. After a scoreless first half, the Bisons put four goals on the board in less than 13 minutes to secure a 4-0 shutout win in their final match of the 2023 regular season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bisons got off to a dominant start, taking three shots in the first two minutes of action. Lucy Ream led the squad's offense from the first whistle, logging a pair of back-to-back shots that just missed the mark.

Emanuela Schurch and Kiara Pralle put up shots in the first ten minutes that were turned away by the Governors' defense. The Govs pushed back up the field for their first scoring opportunity of the match but the attempt failed to find its target and the Bisons regained possession.

The Bisons continued to pressure the Austin Peay defense, logging 12 shots in the first half while holding the visitors from Clarksville to just three shots in the first half.

Lipscomb's offense built several dangerous scoring chances including a vicious cross from KK Pavatt to Lucy Ream that missed Ream's foot by inches and a turnaround shot from Lucy Hurst that eked out the left goalpost.

After the squads returned from the break, the Bisons continued their offensive onslaught with Pavatt putting up a shot just over a minute back into action. The Governors put their first shot on target in the match, but netminder Sara Kile was there to scoop up the attempt.

The Bisons began to run away with the match as time ticked into the 64th minute as KK Pavatt and Faith Adams combined on a corner kick to send a chip into the box that Katia Hanger sent home to open the match scoring.

Austin Peay made a trip back down into the Bisons end but after sending the shot wide, Lipscomb's squad was back on the prowl. Bella Carapazza carried the ball up the field and danced through the defense to send home the Bisons' second goal of the match.

After a shot from Faith Adams was turned away by the Governors' keeper, the younger Carapazza sister was back on the attack. Bella made her way up the field and tapped a pass to Lucy Hurst, who threaded a pass right back to Carapazza who launched a rocket of a shot into the net for her second goal of the night just before the 70th minute.

Marcella Cash jumped into the fray, taking a shot in the 71st minute that went left, but her next shot flew from the top left corner of the 18-yard box to the top right cornet of the net in a mirror from her goal in Sunday's match against Kennesaw State to put the Bisons up 4-0 just after the 77-minute mark.

Sadie Wilkinson and Shadia Valenzuela recorded shots for the Bisons in the last ten minutes of action that were turned away by the Governors' defense. Austin Peay made one last attempt to get on the board with less than a minute on the board, but the shot flew wide right and the Bisons concluded their regular season campaign with a 4-0 shutout win.
