HOW IT HAPPENED
After a back-and-forth first half hour, Stetson broke through in the 35' minute with a goal to go up 1-0 when an attacking player weaved into the box and rocketed a shot just inside the far post.
Lipscomb was on the front foot for the remainder of the first half, but was unable to equalize.
Out of the break, the Bisons were the aggressor, with a flurry of attacking opportunities. In the 53' minute, Spicer was taken down hard in the box and the Bisons were awarded a penalty. Spicer converted, equalizing the match 1-1.
The next few minutes were all Lipscomb, but the Bisons struggled to find the final ball to take the lead.
In the final 10 minutes of the match, Stetson found another gear and fired several shots at Lipscomb keeper
Juan Carlos Rodriguez. Rodriguez made several spectacular saves, but the Hatters broke through at the very end of the match with two goals in the final two minutes of the match. Lipscomb fell for the first time in ASUN play this season, 3-1.
