THE SHORT STORY
Lipscomb got out to an early lead and never looked back en route to a 101-55 victory over Bryan in its final game before Christmas.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bisons got off to a quick start with an early 11-4 lead.
Will Pruitt led the charge with a quick five points during the stretch.
Lipscomb outscored the Lions 11-4 over the next two minutes, extending out to a 22-8 lead at the under-12 media timeout.
Lipscomb continued to fire on all cylinders throughout the first half and took a 51-28 lead into the halftime break. At the half,
Cody Head led the Bisons with 12 points. Lipscomb was outshooting the Lions by more than 20-percent at the break.
In the first six minutes of the second frame, Lipscomb outscored Bryan 21-11 to get out to a 72-39 lead at the first media timeout.
The Bisons defense was stifling in the second half as Bryan struggled to connect. After Bryan went one for its last nine, Lipscomb had a 77-43 lead, its largest of the afternoon, with nine minutes left in the contest.
Lipscomb continued its dominance through the final minutes of the matchup, including a 9-0 run in the final four minutes of the game, securing a 101-55 victory in Allen Arena.
