THE SHORT STORY
Lipscomb tallied 14 runs on 12 hits, including a grand slam by Tori Womack and a four-RBI performance from Jack Busch, and used a combined three-hit shutout by Emily Yakubowski and Macey Ogle to clinch the non-conference victory over Tennessee Tech.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bisons opened the scoring in the bottom of the first inning as Katelyn Belding singled through the right side to score both Presley Leebrick and Kaylyn Belfield to open the scoring for Lipscomb.

Busch extended the lead to 4-0, a few at-bats later, as she singled to left field with bases loaded to score Belding and Kamrie Rich.

Lipscomb tallied three more runs in the bottom of the second inning as Josey Polk drew a walk with bases loaded to score Rich from third and Busch singled to left field in the next at-bat to score both Meghan Kline and Belding to push the lead to 7-0.

Womack entered the game in the bottom of the third as a pinch hitter with one out and bases loaded and sent the 1-2 pitch over the fence in left field for her first career grand slam to extend the lead to 11-0.

The Bisons closed out their scoring in the bottom of the fourth as Kline singled home Kelly Paulson to push the deficit to 12-0 and Briyana Wright singled up the middle to score both Kline and Presley Rader to extend the lead to 14-0.

Ogle was able to obtain the final three out to clinch the non-conference win.
Yakubowski was earn her 10th win in the circle for Lipscomb, allowing only one hit in 2.0 innings of work, while Ogle allowed only two hits in 3.0 innings of relief.
Tennessee Tech's Gracelyn Woollen allowed four earned run on five hits to be credited with the loss in the circle, while Callie Piper and Kaylan Cole combined to give up 10 runs on seven hits in 3.0 innings of relief.
Paulson, Belfield, and Busch all tallied multiple hits to pace the Bisons, with Busch adding four RBI and Paulson and Belfield tallying two runs scored each. Womack went 1 for 2 from the plate with a grand slam, while Leebrick, Belding, Kline, Polk, and Wright all collected hits in the win.

The Bisons will return to ASUN play on Friday as they host Queens in the start of a three-game series.
