JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Lipscomb women's track & field's

Kiara Carter,
Liza Corso,
Bella Jackson,
Aislinn McElhaney, and
Lydia Miller were all selected on Thursday to join Lipscomb men's track & field's Austin Remick to compete in the NCAA Track & Field East Preliminary rounds held in Jacksonville, Florida on May 24-27.
Borland will compete in both the women's 10,000m run and the women's 5,000m run, Carter will represent the Bisons in the women's 800m run, Corso will run the women's 1,500m run, Jackson will compete in the women's high jump, McElhaney will represent Lipscomb in the women's long jump, while Miller will race in the women's 5,000m run.
Borland, who will be making her first trip to the NCAA East Prelims, will be racing in two separate events for the Bisons. The sophomore earned a qualifying time of 15:58.83 in the 5,000m at the Bryan Clay Invitational on April 13 and a qualifying time of 34:12.68 in the 10,000m at the Raleigh Relays on March 23. Borland won the 5,000m run at the ASUN Outdoor Championships on May 13.
Carter earned her second trip to the NCAA East Prelims, finishing 28th overall in the 800m at the 2022 NCAA East Prelims, after earning her qualification by breaking the Lipscomb outdoor program record in the 800m with a time of 2:04.51 at the Music City Challenge on April 29. The sophomore garnered Second Team All-ASUN honors in the event at the ASUN Outdoor Championship on May 13.
Corso will be making her first trip to the NCAA East Prelims after earning her qualification in the 1,500m at the Bryan Clay Invitational on April 13 with a time of 4:19.54. The sophomore crossed fifth in the 1,500m with a time of 4:20.97 at the ASUN Outdoor Championships on May 13.
Jackson will be making her second trip to the NCAA East Prelims, finishing tied for 19th in the high jump at the 2022 NCAA East Prelims, earning her qualification with a distance of 1.76m at the Music City Challenge on April 29. The sophomore was named the ASUN Field Athlete of the Week back on April 26 and garnered Second Team All-ASUN honors at the ASUN Outdoor Championships on May 13.
McElhaney earned her first trip to the NCAA East Prelims after notching a qualification in the long jump with a distance of 6.37m at the ASUN Outdoor Championships on May 13. In addition to winning the event at the championship meet, the sophomore broke both the Lipscomb outdoor program record and the overall championship meet.
Miller will be making her first trip to the NCAA East Prelims after earning her qualification in the 5,000m at the Bryan Clay Invitational on April 13 by breaking the Lipscomb outdoor program record with a time of 15:52.20. The sophomore also garnered Second Team All-ASUN honors in the 5,000m run at the ASUN Outdoor Championships on May 13.
McElhaney will open up the meet for the Bisons by competing in the long jump on Thursday, May 25 at 5 p.m. CT, followed by Corso in the 1,500m and Carter in the 800m running at 5:30 p.m. CT and 6:30 p.m. CT respectively. Borland will close out the opening day by racing in the 10K at 8:10 p.m. CT.
Jackson will start the final day of the meet by competing in the high jump at 1:30 p.m. CT, followed by Corso and Carter racing in the finals on Saturday at 4:15 p.m. CT and 6:05 p.m. CT respectively. Miller and Borland will close out the meet for the Bisons by both racing in the 5K at 7:10 p.m. CT.
