NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Lipscomb women's soccer sent the University of Mississippi Rebels packing Thursday night in a 2-1 win for the Bisons. Graduate student Kelli Beiler bagged a brace in the contest to help the Bisons claim their fourth win of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The stage was set for an incredible night of competition with the early glimpse of Nashville autumn weather prompting both teams to hit the ground running. Play was caught in the center third of the pitch for the opening minutes of play.

In the first three minutes, neither team managed to get far enough into the other's defensive end to record a shot in the contest. Ole Miss got the jump in the shots category as they got a header under a corner kick in Lipscomb's defensive end with four minutes on the clock, but Lipscomb netminder Sara Kile collected it easily to hold the 0-0 stalemate.

The Bisons earned their first corner of the game just after the eighth minute mark. Kelli Beiler and Shelby Craft combined for a crashing push in the Ole miss box, but it was sent out of bound off of the visitors. Logan McFadden and Katia Hanger both sent headers towards the goal but were denied by the Rebels' keeper.

Beiler put the heat on goal once more as she danced through defenders to take a strong right-footed shot towards the bottom right of the goal just after the 11-minute mark, but it too was collected. Alivia Carapazza got in on the shots, sending in a long ball off a free kick from 30-yards out that went streaming towards the top-left corner of the net, but the Rebels' keeper made a leaping save to hold the score at 0-0.

After knocking on the door for 20 minutes of play, Beiler notched her fifth goal of the season. KK Pavatt drove up left side with the ball and sent it on to Kiara Pralle in the center. Pralle sent the ball in to Beiler who sent a right-footed shot screaming into the bottom left corner of the goal under the keeper's dive to put the Bisons up 1-0 in the match.

The Bisons kept the heat in the visitors' defensive end as Lucy Ream and Bella Carapazza each put shots on goal within 30 seconds of each other that were turned away. Marcella Cash joined the Bisons' rush and logged pair of shots in the final three minutes to put the Bisons up 11-4 in the shot count at the break.
The Purple and Gold came out aggressive after the break with Beiler making a break up the left side to put a shot on goal just three minutes into the second half. Beiler found the back of the net for the second time in the match as she buried the ricochet off a blocked shot from Bella Carapazza. With a right footer to the upper left of the pipe frame.

Ole Miss collected for a dangerous head-on chance from the top of the box, but Kile once more stood tall to hold the Lipscomb lead. Emboldened, the Rebels returned the offensive pressure and found the back of the net with a set of headers to convert on a corner kick to bring the Bisons' lead to one with just over 20 minutes left on the clock.

Beiler took it back down into the Rebels' end to put up her fifth shot of the night, forcing yet another save from Ole Miss' keeper to hold the score as it was. The visitors refused to back down, putting up all four of the shots in the final 15 minutes.

The Bisons put on an artful display in holding off the Rebels, working together to hold possession deep in the Rebels' defensive end and watch the clock wind down to cement their victory.
