NASHVILLE – Lipscomb ended their road trip in Jacksonville with a sweep over the Dolphins to go unbeaten on the weekend.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The first set consisted of a lot of back and forth, consisting of six ties all before the media timeout. During this time, the Bisons recorded two aces from
Sophia Hudepohl and
Kelsey Schenck, the first of seven aces Lipscomb recorded in the afternoon.
Lipscomb reached 15 points before Jacksonville after scoring four possessions in a row to overtake Jacksonville's lead. The Dolphins trailed for the remainder of the set as
Courtney Jones scored the last point to solidify the first for the Bisons.
The second set started similarly to the first, with both teams battling possession after possession. Jacksonville was the first to 15 with the Bisons trailing by just two going into the media.
After a few critical plays, including a setter dump by Hudepohl and a service ace from
Courtney Jones, Lipscomb was able to turn the tides in their favor.
Meg Mersman recorded three kills and contributed to four blocks in the second set alone to help the Bisons close the set on a 12-4 run.
LUV carried their momentum from the first two sets into set number three. The second point earned for the Bisons came from an attack from Mersman distributed by Sudepohl, marking her 3000 career assist.
The Bisons recorded 17 kills with an attack percentage of .424 on the set to sweep the Dolphins. Lipscomb also had two aces and two blocks in the third.

The Bisons collectively swung an attack percentage of .351 throughout the match led by
Cora ter Kuile recording a 1.000 percentage on an ace and
Berkley Mischler's .700 percentage on 10 attempts.
Sophia Hudepohl assisted on 34 of LUV's 44 kills while recording 4 kills of her own.
Meg Mersman recorded an attack percentage of .350 for 10 kills for the second day in a row to compliment her 5 block assists and one solo block.
Karlie McNabb recorded 9 kills on a .389 attack percentage and led the team in digs with 14.
