NASHVILLE, TN – Lipscomb closed out their regular season with a 2-0 victory over Austin Peay for their 11
th shutout of the season and 8
th in conference play. The ASUN highlighted the efforts of
Kiara Pralle,
Alivia Carapazza, and
Kaïna Cesar to sweep the ASUN Weekly Awards. Lipscomb is the first team this season to have won all 3 awards in one week.
ASUN Player of the Week – Kiara Pralle
Kiara earned her 2
nd ASUN Player of the Week award in a row and 3
rd on the season after recording 2 goals against Austin Peay. Pralle recorded 6 shots with 3 on goal to score her 15
th and 16
th goals this season. She is currently tied for 3
rd in the nation in goals scored this season by an NCAA DI women's soccer player. After the final week of conference play, Pralle has 34 points under her belt entering the ASUN Championship.
ASUN Defensive Player of the Week – Alivia Carapazza
Alivia recorded an assist and posted a shutout this week to earn her first ASUN Defensive Player of the Week honor this season. Carapazza's assist is her 2
nd of the season and contributed to Lipscomb's 2-0 victory. In their past 4 matches, Lipscomb has not allowed a goal. Carapazza led the Bisons to a complete defensively dominant match against the Govs, allowing no shots in the first half and ending the match allowing only 4 shots with none on goal.
ASUN Goalkeeper of the Week – Kaïna Cesar
Kaïna's Goalkeeper of the Week award is her 2
nd of the season and was earned after her 8
th shutout performance this year. Cesar was the only goalkeeper to post a shutout against another ASUN Championship-bound team this week. Her presence in goal deterred Austin Peay from taking shots and caused them to undershoot their average of 12.4 shots a game. Cesar leads the ASUN and ranks 20
th in the nation in goals against average with .583%.
