NASHVILLE, TN – Lipscomb posted an impressive regular season campaign, entering the ASUN Conference Championship with an 11-3-4 overall record and 7-1-3 conference record. After leading the Bisons in their offensive prowess,
Kiara Pralle was named the ASUN Player of the Year to compliment her First Team All-Conference and All-Academic Team selections.
Bella Carapazza and
Alivia Carapazza joined Pralle on the First Team All-Conference while
Lucy Ream earned her second consecutive Second Team All-Conference honor and
Kaïna Cesar was named to the All-Freshman Team.
KIARA PRALLE – PLAYER OF THE YEAR, FIRST TEAM ALL-CONFERENCE, ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
The captain and inspirational leader of Bisons and the ASUN's most potent offense,
Kiara Pralle tallied 16 goals and 2 assists for 34 total points, the highest total in program history. With only 2 players in the nation scoring more than her, Kiara is currently tied for 3rd in all the NCAA for total goals. Kiara is 1
st in the conference in points, goals, and shots and was the driving force in the team's 2.11 goals per game average and conference-leading 38 team goals garnering her 2 ASUN Player of the Week awards and a Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week award. Showing her impressive offensive influence, Kiara provided 5 game-winning goals this campaign. The dynamic goal scorer has also been a model of consistency, starting every game for Lipscomb on the season and leading the ASUN with shots (98) and shots on goal (50) from her striker position. The next closest ASUN goal scorer is 7 goals behind Kiara this season with 9 goals. Kiara was a 2023 ASUN All-Conference selection and a Conference USA post-season award winner before transferring to Lipscomb.
BELLA CARAPAZZA – FIRST TEAM ALL-CONFERENCE
2023 ASUN Freshman of the Year,
Bella Carapazza was a key cog for the highly potent Bison offense. Bella has had an outstanding year where she has been directly involved with 11 of the team's 38 goals. When Bella isn't scoring, she is setting up a teammate. She has had two multi-assist games in the year. Starting in 16 of the 17 games she has appeared in this year for the Bisons, Bella has 4 goals and 7 assists to contribute 14 points, ranking 2
nd for the Bisons and 7
th in the conference. Her 7 assists rank 2
nd. She has taken a total of 37 shots with 15 of those being on goal for an outstanding .405% on goal and she has had one game-winning goal, it's no wonder Bella earned 2024 Preseason All-ASUN accolades before this season. In addition to being named 2023 ASUN Freshman of the Year, Bella was added to the 2023 ASUN All-Freshman Team and made the Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week.
ALIVIA CARAPAZZA – FIRST TEAM ALL-CONFERENCE
Another one of our Lipscomb captains and the leader of the ASUN's most potent defense is as steady and reliable a player as you'll find. 1
st in shutouts(9) and fewest goals conceded(12) in ASUN play is in large part because of the performances of
Alivia Carapazza. She has been a stalwart defender for the Bisons this campaign, starting all 15 matches she has appeared in and playing over 1154 minutes. On top of her defensive prowess, Alivia has been a constant offensive threat on set pieces and has contributed 2 assists on the season. Alivia was named to the 2022 ASUN Second Team All-Conference and 2022 ASUN All-Academic Team.
LUCY REAM – SECOND TEAM ALL-CONFERENCE
A two-time All-ASUN post-season award winner and 2024 preseason all-conference member,
Lucy Ream has played center back and left back in the league's stingiest defense and proved invaluable in Lipscomb's campaign. An experienced and embattled player, Lucy provided leadership and consistency for Lipscomb's defense by starting all 17 games she has appeared in for the Bisons this season. The lockdown 1v1 defender also showed her attacking prowess by scoring a game-winning goal that contributed to her earning ASUN Defensive Player of the Week once this season. Lucy was named to the 2023 All-ASUN Second Team and 2022 All-ASUN Third Team.
KAÏNA CESAR – ALL-FRESHMAN TEAM
With the most shutouts(9) and the best goals-against average(.560) in the Atlantic Sun Conference season,
Kaïna Cesar has had a phenomenal year in goal for Lipscomb. As a freshman, she has started in all 13 matches she has appeared in for the Bisons. She has played in 1080 minutes of action with a conference-leading save percentage of .848. Her overall contribution to the success the Bisons have seen cannot be overstated. Kai was invited to the Haitian National Team as one of the 3 keepers selected by Coach Malou Quignette. She won the ASUN Goalkeeper of the Week after starting the season and her collegiate career as the only ASUN keeper with 2 shutouts.
