HOW IT HAPPENED
It took some time for the bank to open with the early Monday start, but Jalyn Holcomb got the Bisons on the board first with a 3-pointer with 6:23 left in the opening quarter.

After Ainhoa Cea's driving layup with under a minute remaining in the quarter to make it 13-11, the Mocs extended the lead to 15-11 with a layup by Kailyn Farrell.

UTC swelled the lead to 15 in the second quarter thanks to outscoring Lipscomb 19-11 in the period en route to a 34-22 halftime lead.

The Bisons picked up steam in the third quarter with a 17-9 run to start the quarter to trim the deficit back to five, 41-36, with 5:37 left thanks to a Molly Heard layup off a turnover via an offensive foul.

Lipscomb shot 7-of-12 in the third to outscore Chattanooga 23-17 and head to the final 10 minutes down 51-45.

Following a strong defensive front by the visitors, Claira McGowan made it a one possession game with a shot from downtown, 51-48, with under eight minutes remaining.

UTC tried to pull away, but Cea's triple with 6:08 left made it a two-point game. Despite Molly Heard's points off turnovers later in the quarter, the Mocs eventually pulled away, going on a 7-0 run to lead 62-53 with 1:49 to go.

The Bisons did not concede right away, as they pulled to with in two after a Vinson steal and layup with 30 seconds remaining to make it 62-60. Unfortunately, the Mocs iced the game with free throws to end Lipscomb's six-game winning streak.

Monday's loss ends Lipscomb's six-game win streak. The streak marked the second-longest in the program's Division I history.
