NASHVILLE – The Lipscomb University volleyball program wrapped up the home schedule on Tuesday night with a straight-set victory over Austin Peay State University inside Allen Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Despite the Bisons getting out to a 4-1 lead, the Governors used an 11-4 run to lead 12-8 before a timeout.
Coming out of the timeout for Lipscomb, they used back-to-back attack errors and an
Addi Pelham kill to get the Bisons back to even at 12 points apiece.
Later in the set, up 17-15, the Bisons posted three straight kills by
Berkley Mischler,
Sophia Hudepohl and
Courtney Jones to get ahead 20-15 en route to a 25-20 set victory.
LUV settled in from there, as the Bisons smashed 15 kills to the Govs' 11. A 15-9 run in the second set helped the Bisons to a 25-16 victory.
Set three saw the Bisons shut down the Governors attack, allowing the visitors to nine kills and a .000 attack percentage. Meanwhile the Lipscomb offense committed four errors on 39 total swings, totaling 14 for a .256 attack clip.
APSU did cut the deficit to 20-17, but kills by
Karlie McNabb and
Brooklyn Fuchs secured the dub for LUV's final home match of 2024.

Karlie McNabb posted a match-high 14 kills and added six digs.
Courtney Jones and
Meg Mersman each totaled 10 points on the night. Jones had nine kills and two assisted blocks, while Mersman posted seven kills and four total blocks.
