Lipscomb Athletics Breaks Giving Day Record With Over $560,000 Raised

NASHVILLE – Lipscomb Athletics set a new all-time record for any Lipscomb University department for one-day giving, raising $562,367 during the 2024 Giving Day. The Bisons collected from 1,236 unique donors in the 24-hour period to surpass its goal and set a new record.
"Every person who donates is, in effect, casting their vote of appreciation for what the Lipscomb Athletics experience means to them as a student athlete, coach, staff member, alum, parent, friend or fan." Said Director of Athletics Philip Hutcheson. "It's also a vote of confidence for what they believe the Lipscomb experience will mean for our student athletes after playing days are done. Finally, it's a vote of support for the communities Lipscomb Athletics and Lipscomb alumni continue to impact as we move into our third decade of NCAA DI competition."
Lipscomb University, as a whole, ended up with 4,320 donors giving over $2,795,000.
