NASHVILLE – The Lipscomb University women's tennis team began the 2025 season on Saturday evening with a 6-1 victory over Tennessee State University from the Ensworth Tennis Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bisons cruised to the doubles point with wins at the first two flights.

Sofiia Paladi (No. 1) and
Mariia Dolzhenko/
Rut Galindo (No. 2) each won by identical 6-1 scores.
Despite the Lady Tigers securing the No. 3 point via retirement, the Bisons remained in control.
Deborah Dominguez Collado took care of Jovana NIkolic, 6-2, 6-0, to help the home team regain the match lead, 2-1.
Paladi picked up her first spring win with a 6-2, 6-0 rout of Warona Mduluwa at the top flight.
Bobrovnikova clinched the match for the Bisons with her victory at the No. 5. After edging Aroa Arrietta Castillo 7-5 in the opening set, the freshman kept the momentum in her favor with a 6-2 score in the second set.
Mariia Dolzhenko and
Kameliia Tytarenko also grabbed wins for the Bisons. Tytarenko overcame a 7-6 (4) win in the first set to cruise to 6-3 in the second set.

The Bisons will make the quick trip to Bowling Green, Kentucky on Sunday to face the Hilltoppers of Western Kentucky.
