RICHMOND, KY. – Lipscomb Women's Soccer wrapped up regular season play on Saturday afternoon with a hard-fought 1–0 loss to Eastern Kentucky on the road.
The Bisons came out strong and controlled much of the possession early, earning a number of corner kicks and testing the EKU defense throughout the first half. Despite multiple set-piece chances, Lipscomb was unable to find the breakthrough goal as the match remained scoreless heading into halftime.
Eastern Kentucky capitalized midway through the second half, converting on one of its few opportunities to take the lead. The Bisons continued to press, recording double-digit corner kicks and several quality looks at goal, but couldn't find the equalizer.
Goalkeeper Audrey Tucker tallied several key saves to keep the Bisons within reach, while Bella Carapazza, Hailey Johnson, and Skylar Cole led the offensive efforts for the Bisons.
Lipscomb finishes the regular season with a 11-5-2 record and will shift its focus to postseason play as the ASUN Championship begins next week, hosted at the Lipscomb Soccer Complex in Nashville.
