HOW IT HAPPENED
After each team traded the first four points of the opening set, Lipscomb used a 7-1 run to swell the lead to 9-3 after an ace by Ella Durham and an assisted block by Courtney Jones and Berkley Mischler

The Wolves used a quick 3-0 run to make it a 9-6 score, but the Bisons swelled the lead to 14-8 with a spike from Brooklyn Fuchs and a service ace by Hallie Hendrickx

From there, the Bisons held the Wolves to eight kills as they won 25-17 in set one.

The second set saw 10 ties and six lead changes. Tied at 10, despite a Mischler kill, the Wolves kept the momentum to the media timeout with a 5-2 run, including three straight points.

Coming out of the break, the Bisons came out strong with six straight points, including three kills by Jones and two from Brooklyn Fuchs, as well as a service ace from Kenzie Kucks

The run continued despite West Georgia using their timeouts. Back-to-back kills for Jones and a Sophia Hudepohl ace extended the lead to 21-16 en route to a 25-20 win to lead the match two sets to none.

Lipscomb won the first two points in set three and never looked back, rolling out to leads of 7-2 and 11-6.

With LUV ahead 22-9, UWG used a 7-2 run to cut the deficit to 24-16, but a Sydney Strenger kill ended the match and completing the weekend sweep.
