THE SHORT STORY
A well-rounded performance from Lipscomb Men's Basketball led the Bisons to a 98-53 victory over Bryan on Saturday night to mark head coach Kevin Carroll's first victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Lipscomb got out to a quick start with buckets on its first three trips down the floor, including a pair of triples for a quick 8-0 advantage.

The Bisons continued on the front foot to take a 12-2 advantage, prompting an early Bryan timeout. Out of the timeout, Lipscomb continued its dominance with a 12-0 run, ballooning its lead 22-2 before the Lions got back on the board. Lipscomb continued to lead 22-7 at the under-12 media timeout.

Bryan began to pick up its offense out of the break, but Lipscomb settled back down and launched an extended 17-3 run over nearly seven minutes to hold onto a 41-14 advantage at the final media timeout of the half.

The Bisons continued on to hold a 52-24 lead at the halftime break.

Bryan scored on its first possession out of the break, but points were hard to come by for the Lions in the opening minutes of the half. The first media timeout took six minutes as the Bisons led 67-32 with 14:00 left to play.

The Bisons continued to fire on all cylinders. Kellan Boylan scored his 11th point of the night, the most in his Lipscomb career, on an emphatic dunk to give Lipscomb a 74-40 lead.

Well-rounded scoring from the Bisons was the theme for the final minutes of the game, with 11 different Bisons finding the bottom of the net. Lipscomb came out on top 98-53.
