NASHVILLE – The Lipscomb University Volleyball team used a .348 attack percentage to knock off the University of North Alabama in straight sets, Friday night inside Allen Arena, to open Senior Weekend and the final home stand of the 2025 season.

SENIOR WEEKEND
The Bisons honored its four seniors for Senior Weekend prior to first serve:
Sophia Hudepohl,
Courtney Jones,
Berkley Mischler and
Cora ter Kuile.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Trailing 7-6, the Bisons used a 6-2 run to flip the script to 12-8 after kills from
Cora ter Kuile and
Courtney Jones.
The Bisons swelled the lead to six, 18-12, after a UNA attack error that forced the Lions to burn a timeout.
Trailing 21-13, North Alabama used a quick 4-0 run, but a
Brooklyn Fuchs spike gave LUV the side out to lead 22-17 en route to a 25-19 opening set win.
In set two, there were seven ties and two lead changes early in the set. Tied at 11, a Kinslee McGowan service error gave the ball back to the Bisons, and that sparked a 5-0 run to lead 16-11.
The Lions were able to cut the score to 21-20 on a Nicole Sargent service ace, but after a Lipscomb timeout,
Ella Durham earned the side out with a kill to lead 22-20. They finished the frame on a 4-0 run, capped by a service ace by Durham.
In the third, the Bisons picked up their first block of the set with a ter Kuile and Fuchs assist that started a 12-4 run.
However, UNA was able to cut the score to 18-16 thanks to a 6-2 run, but an attack error by the Lions ended the run.
LUV finished the third on a 5-2 run to win the third, 25-18 to earn a sweep over the Lions.

KEY STATISTICS
The Bisons posted a .348 attack percentage with 45 kills on 89 attempts with 14 errors.
Berkley Mischler led the LUV offense with 12 kills on a .588 attack percentage.
Ella Durham had a .421 swing percentage with nine kills on 19 attacks and added seven digs and two aces.
Brooklyn Fuchs totaled eight kills and two blocks.

Lipscomb improves to 17-2 all-time in the series, including a 9-0 mark inside Allen Arena.
Additionally, the Bisons and Lions have played three sets 15 of the 19 meetings, holding a 14-1 record.
The Bisons recorded a .424 attack percentage in set one, the highest mark in an opening set in conference play this season.
