NASHVILLE – Announced on Tuesday, two Lipscomb University Volleyball players,
Ella Durham and
Sophia Hudepohl, were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Team.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District Volleyball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's soccer honorees in four divisions -- NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
To qualify for the award, student-athletes must carry a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 and must play in 90% of contests or start in at least 66% of matches played.
Since 2003, Lipscomb has had 12 selections on the Academic All-District® team, with 10 student-athletes honored in that span.
Durham started all 27 matches for the Bisons in her first season after transferring to San Diego. The Dublin, Ohio native averaged 2.55 kills per set and 3.07 points per set for the Bisons.
Hudepohl, who will advance to the Academic All-America® ballot, earned her second straight All-District honor and joins Lauren Ford and Kayla Ostrom that have been awarded at least twice.
The senior from Cincinnati, Ohio averaged 10.73 assists per set as she was named the Atlantic Sun Conference Setter of the Year.
