As I get ready to return to El Salvador in a few short days, I've been thinking a lot about how much God transformed my heart the first time I went to El Salvador. Last year's trip opened my eyes to what it really means to serve, how love can cross language barriers, how joy shows up in the smallest moments, and how God's presence meets us wherever we are.
I left El Salvador last year changed, and ever since then, I've felt God gently calling me back. This time, I'm not just going to experience but to pour out and serve from a place of gratitude for all that He's already done. I'm excited to reconnect with the people and ministries that shaped me so profoundly and to walk alongside a new team stepping into this experience for the first time.
There's something so powerful about returning to a place where you've seen God move and realizing that it's not just a trip but part of a story He's still writing. My prayer is that we would go with open hearts and willing hands—that we would love boldly, serve selflessly, and carry the hope of Jesus into every conversation and every moment.
I pray that each person on our team would see God in a personal, life-changing way and that He would renew a sense of purpose and faith in each person involved.
As we prepare to go, I ask for your prayers for our team's unity, safety, and spiritual growth—and for the incredible people of El Salvador who continue to teach us so much about joy and faith. I can't wait to see all that God has ahead.
